A fairer and safer society

Priority

With a diverse array of solutions, ranging from children's education to consumer policy making, from women’s safety to privacy in the digital space, solutions in this year’s shortlist are raising awareness of existential concerns affecting millions of people and finding innovative ways to prevent discrimination and violence. In spite of the diversity of challenges tackled by these projects, they all share a common concern, with the urgent need to understand and mitigate the bias built into the fabric of our social and economic systems.
