We are Parastou Raeis Ghanavati, Benthe Plat, Lotte Van Der Jagt, Falko Baatsen, Sybe Duyts and Moritz Von Seyfried, a team of master students at TU Delft, studying Integrated Product Design in the Industrial Design Engineering faculty, Delft, Netherlands. We started with this project for the course Advanced Embodiment Design to design The UBUNTU Eduscope which is an affordable, locally producible, and repairable digital microscope specialized for education in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), suited for group and individual work, while having a comparable appearance to analog microscopes.
