Joses Sorilla is a founding member of CANTELA. His parents are both in the field of engineering which led him to be curious about the subject and pursue it. Through a scholarship given by the school to excelling students from public schools, he was able to enter De La Salle University wherein he is currently taking a ladderized bachelor’s and master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. His background in robotics and research goes back to his high school years where he was a part of an investigatory project contest presenting his team’s research of wearable guides for blind people and won 2nd place. His favorite subject is math and participated in various math contests through the years. Thankful to the opportunities he has received, he wishes to return the favor to the school by living the school’s mission of being a Lasallian for God and country through research.
