About

Emily is a product student from the School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Emily’s mother has always been a strong motivational figure, whom has inspired her to pursue problem solving with gender inequality in mind.

From designing products truly for women’s needs, Emily has also found herself a new interest in the medical field for product design and has attempted to pursue this specific area for her final year project. She is eager to further venture into the world of human care and medical based products.

For her bachelor’s degree graduation project, Emily along with her professor, Fred Han’s guidance has designed a toilet, called “Libue”, for Parkinson’s patients and their family members. This design has raised a lot of positive feedback in Hong Kong and was featured in many local newspapers such as South China Morning Post, Sing Tao Daily, and Oriental Daily etc. She also won the Hong Kong league of the James Dyson Award 2015.
