The Sli-de-Rift is a sports wheelchair designed to be used equally by those with and without physical difficulties. Created as part of an inclusive drift racing game, the chair’s three-wheel structure, including two regular wheels and a third ‘tail’ wheel, reduces frictional resistance and provides assistance when sliding around corners. An interchangeable seat and detachable leg frame give the wheelchair flexibility, depending on the user’s personal requirements and physical ability. The Sli-de-Rift removes the borders between handicapped and non-handicapped, repositioning the wheelchair as a piece of physically enhancing sports equipment.
