Re-Distributing and Re-sourcing the Production of Construction Materials

About

A recipe book for sustainable architecture

The architectural community is facing a moment of crisis as the environmental impact of construction comes under increased scrutiny. Seeking to face these challenges head-on, the designer has put together a ‘recipe book’ of waste and renewable materials that can be used to create sustainable, low-cost construction materials. Working with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, designers and makers, the recipe book draws together readily available materials specific to Porto City – including biological waste and invasive plants.
