WHECAT – Turning Burned Wheat Straw into Sustainable Pet Supplies

About

Turning wheat straws into pet food as an alternative to incineration

Whecat aims to turn burned wheat straws into sustainable pet supplies. It is a project that aims to develop a circular solution for air pollution caused by wheat straw incineration. By redefining the commercial value of wheat straw into biodegradable pet supplies through simple processing, Whecat can help villagers reduce the proportion of straw being burnt as well as increase their extra income from the upcycled product. Linking traditional wisdom to modern farming techniques, Whecat is a win-win solution for farmers and consumers alike, whilst also helping to reduce pollution.
