Waste to Treasure – The Utilization of the Brewer’s Spent Grain in Various Fields

About

The byproducts of brewing processes are often discarded despite their potential application in other industries.

Project Waste to Treasure explores the recycling of brewers’ spent grain as a raw material for the paper industry (tissue paper and cardboard paper). The research has specifically investigated the creation of pulp adequate for paper mills and has collaborated with industrial partners to achieve a formula that can be used at scale.
