TOLIFE is a life detection technology for use in earthquake scenarios in harsh terrains that are difficult to search. It can detect signs of life within a 5 metre radius from a high altitude, meaning greater rescue rates, and it is especially useful where there is limited access to rescue dogs, life detectors and very possibly interrupted communications.
Chao Zhang is a postgraduate student in Industrial Design Engineering at Zhejiang University. He got his bachelor in Electrical Engineering from Jiangnan University. He is a UX designer and an HCI researcher. As a designer, his works were awarded top design awards (e.g., iF Design, A' Design) and exhibited at famous design exhibitions (e.g., Global Grad Show).
