Shield is a smart system that detects child abuse, to notify parents of potential threats to their child.
The system consists of three main components, smartwatch, belt and garments. The smartwatch includes the heart rate sensor, the temperature sensor, and the skin conductance sensor. The belt carries a microcontroller and a force resistance sensor, finally a piece of pressure sensitive conductive sheet is attached to the garments, in addition to the sensors, the smartwatch also contains GPS and Bluetooth modules.
We are a group of Engineering students at Ajman University, who are working to improve the lives of the public through utilizing our skills to invent Shield, a child sexual abuse smart detection system, to minimize the number of child sexual abuse incidents by creating a fully functioning wearable child protection system with a processing algorithm that indicates the presence of sexual assault immediately and accurately. more
