Originating from Kombucha, a fermented solution, the fabric is grown using an all-natural combination of tea, sugar, and symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast. During the fermentation, microscopic bacteria builds cellulose fibers which grow into wet mats that can be molded, dyed, and dried. The end result is a new fabric that is similar to faux leather.
