A nation-wide digital service to monitor the vaccination status of children
The Immunization Calculator is a digital service which monitors the vaccine status of children in Uganda. It keeps track of the child’s vaccine schedule and sends SMS reminders to parents and guardians meaning greater uptake of vital immunisations. It also keeps them informed about their child’s vaccination status and increases awareness, which in turn helps to ensure proper child vaccination.
The calculator also streamlines the system for health workers and eliminates the danger of losing immunisation health cards, the information from which can be programmed into the Calculator.

Uganda Technology And Management UniversityWe are Samuel Mugisha, Felix Egaru and Fionah Kabagweri. With the skills we nurtured from the Google Developers Clubs, a google initiative which introduces university students to new technology trends, we developed an idea of how we could reduce the infant rates in our country. Even after the university, we were still inspired by the impact of project. Kabagweri Fionah, a new team member who was initially a parent who yarned to use this application to track her son's health. She is part of the team working as our public relations. more
