A magnetic skin allowing quadriplegics to move around

People with quadriplegia no longer have control over their legs or arms and cannot continue living their life independently. On top of that, severely injured quadriplegics (i.e., C1 and C2 injuries) suffer from speaking difficulties and minimal head and neck movements.

The Assistive Magnetic Skin System is a comprehensive solution that utilizes wearable artificial skins to allow people with quadriplegia, including the severely injured ones, to move around individually and control their surroundings with ease.

With the advancement in wearable artificial skins and the Internet-of-Things, realizing comfortable and practical solutions for people with quadriplegia is more tangible than ever. As an engineer and researcher, I spent the last three years developing a comprehensive solution to allow people with quadriplegia, including the severely injured ones, to move around individually and control their surroundings with ease. more
