Asit is a comprehensive design solution for public transport and a bus seat aimed at making journeys more comfortable for the elderly. It is inspired by double-decker buses in Hong Kong. There, the problem of growing numbers of users with special needs might limit the accessibility of this kind of vehicle in the future. The project imagines a more accessible vehicle which is fully autonomous, has greater circulation areas, bigger doors and comfortable, extendable access ramps.
