A City for Robots in the Age of Limitless Demand and Consumption of Goods

A City for Robots in the Age of Limitless Demand and Consumption of Goods is concept for a self-sufficient automated system for producing energy and goods for the city of Naples.

The project is conceived as a city inside of a building - a city built by and for machines, based on their operating system, dimensions, footprint, movement and energy consumption. The project uses parametric design to produce a dynamic urban layout defined by a circulation grid that is interrupted by voids shaped according to the machines' various modes of production. A City for Robots... imagines an urban design not centered on people and instead driven by the continued acceleration of an automation in industries.
